The kitchen remodel project for this young family, was the first of many subsequent projects including a new family organization center in the entry, but the kitchen project as the heart of their townhouse was the most important.  The objective of this assignment was to maximize storage and counter space in a galley style kitchen, expand storage for food & kitchen equipment and still provide an area for kids to have an after-school snack or work on homework while dinner was being prepared.

The new kitchen solution included new cabinetry and appliances.  New double ovens and a French Door refrigerator made cooking family meals more efficient.  New Upper Cabinets were extended to the ceiling to maximize storage.  Concealed storage for appliances like the toaster helped to reduce visual clutter.  The custom banquette seating addressed the need for an eat in area within the kitchen and incorporated much needed additional storage space and allowed display of the homeowner’s collection of decorative dishware.  The blue backsplash tile was selected to compliment the decorative dishware display.

Subsequent projects for this client included updating the existing bathrooms and creating a finished Family Room space in the basement of their townhome.
