The Fisher family wanted a Living Room that could be used for family functions, entertaining and as a grown-up sanctuary for their newly purchased home.
At the top of the Fishers’ list was addressing the traditional albeit outdated fireplace and bringing the room’s design into the 21st century. The new updated fireplace surround incorporated a limestone hearth with custom built in cabinetry to create a look that felt classic but had a touch of sparkle thanks to glass shelves and integrated lighting. Added millwork details and crown molding elevated the appearance of the room. New furnishings for the Living Room including a chaise and curved sofa helped to address the various desired functions for this room. The client’s existing upright piano was visually incorporated into the space design with a custom seat cushion for the bench.
Custom window treatments, a new area rug and commissioned artwork helped to complete the overall appearance of a space where the client could enjoy a quiet moment or entertain friends and family.
